HOW TO CONTACT YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS

1)Go to congress.org

2)Enter your zip code in the box next to "Elected Officials".

3)You will get information on how to contact the President and the N.C. senators and representatives.  Contact information includes e-mail and mailing addresses and telephone/fax numbers. 

4)Click on "State Officials" (on same page as above).

5)You will get information on how to contact the governor and our state senator and representative.  Contact information includes e-mail and mailing addresses and telephone and fax numbers. 

6)Send copy of letter (e-mail or hard copy) or documentation regarding any other contact to Chairman Legislative/By-laws Committee for Chapter Achievement.

              HOW TO CONTACT YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS (SHRM MEMBERS)

1)Go to shrm.org. and log in.

2)Click on "Governmental Affairs". 

3)Click on "Legislative Action Center". 

4)You will see a list of your elected officials.

5)Click on "Write Your Elected Officials".

6)You will see a list if current HR topics.

7)Click on one of the HR topics.  You will see a letter (may be edited) on that subject.

8)Determine to whom you want the letter sent and click "Send message".

9)Send copy of letter (e-mail or hard copy) or documentation regarding any other contact to Chairman of Legislative/By-Laws Committee for Chapter Achievement.
